'If you look west through the wrought iron gate' in The Manor Garden at Cranborne Estate in Dorset, 'you will see a wild flower garden, at its best during the summer months, presided over by a giant chair by Henry Brudenell-Bruce'.

The oak chair was created in 2006 by Henry Brudenell-Bruce with the help of the carpenter Joel Hendry. It was taken down in 2010 after Dartmoor National Park Authority issued an enforcement notice to remove the sculpture.

We've positioned the Dartmoor Giant Chair on Google maps to show you where it was once located. About 20ft tall, it was also known as the Giant's Chair of Natsworthy.

Note that at the end of 2017, the Dartmoor Giant Ladder appeared in the place where the Dartmoor Giant Chair used to be.
