Scorriton, Dartmoor National Park
1. Lunch at The Tradesman's Arms in Scorrition. Also try the Church House Inn in Holne, The Forest Inn in Hexworthy and the Tavistock Inn in Poundsgate. A little further away there are The Old Inn and The Rugglestone Inn in Widecombe-in-the-Moor.

3. Explore Dartmoor's south plateau.
4. Drop down to New Bridge and picnic and wild swim at Spitchwick (Deeper Marsh/Spitchwick Common).
5. Dart Gorge.
6. Try some of Dartmoor's outdoor activities. Go canoeing and wild swimming in the Dart Gorge. Try horse riding from Babeny Farm Riding Stables. Spend a day at River Dart Country Park.
7. Experience Dartmoor's prehistory.
8. Visit Dartmeet and then Princetown and Postbridge in the heart of Dartmoor National Park. We'd also recommend a trip to the famous moorland village Widecombe-in-the-Moor.
9. Enjoy local Dartmoor and South Devon family attractions. Try Buckfast Abbey, the South Devon Railway, Dartmoor Otters and Buckfast Butterflies and Pennywell Farm. Dartmoor Zoo is a great day out.
10. Explore South Devon. Day trip to Exeter and Plymouth.
