1. Dartmoor's south moor and its beacons and tors. Yomp to the top of Ugborough Beacon for huge views of Dartmoor and South Devon. The Avon Dam area is also beautiful.
2. Dartmoor's prehistory.
3. Visit some of Dartmoor and South Devon's most popular family attractions. Try the River Dart Country Park, Buckfast Abbey, the South Devon Railway, Dartmoor Otters and Buckfast Butterflies and Pennywell Farm.
4. Explore the National Trust's Hembury Woods, Saltram House, Buckland Abbey and The Dewerstone.
5. Dartmoor Zoo.
6. Discover the Dart Gorge. From there, push on to Princetown or Widecombe-in-the-Moor.
7. Leave Dartmoor National Park and head to Totnes, Dartmouth and The English Riviera.
8. Explore South Devon.
9. Take day trips to Exeter and Plymouth.
