Great Weeke, Dartmoor National Park
1. Visit Chagford.
2. Explore Whiddon Deer Park.
3. Head up to the National Trust's Castle Drogo.
4. Walk the extraordinary Teign Gorge. Lunch at Fingle Bridge Inn at the local Dartmoor beauty spot Fingle Bridge.
5. Discover Fernworthy Forest. Wander around Fernworthy Reservoir.
6. See some of the National Park's finest prehistoric sites.
7. Walk Dartmoor's high moors and summit some of its tors.
8. If you have kids, spend a day at The Miniature Pony Centre.
9. Follow the B3212 from The Miniature Pony Centre into the heart of the National Park at Postbridge and Princetown.
10. Make the most of Great Weeke's location and drive the A30 east to Exeter or west to Belstone and then Okehampton. If time permits, drop down into South Devon.
