East Week, Dartmoor National Park
1. Yomp to Cosdon Beacon at the top of Cosdon Hill. Explore the National Park's north moor.
2. Discover Dartmoor's rich prehistory. See Cosdon (The Cemetery) Stone Row, Scorhill Stone Circle, Shovel Down Stone Rows and Spinter's Rock.
3. Visit all the National Trust properties in this section of Dartmoor and Devon. Try Finch Foundry, Castle Drogo and Lydford Gorge.
4. Walk the extraordinary Teign Gorge and grab lunch at Fingle Bridge Inn.
5. Head from the pretty moorland village Belstone out onto the moors.
6. Spend a day in Okehampton. Visit English Heritage's Okehampton Castle and the Museum of Dartmoor Life.
7. Go horse riding. Mountain bike the army roads from Okehampton Camp. Cycle the Granite Way and, further south, Drake's Trail.
8. Take a trip to Chagford.
9. Head east on the A30 to Exeter. Explore South Devon.
