Doccombe, Dartmoor National Park

1. Take in the spectacular views from Blackingstone Rock and Heltor Rock.

2. Walk around Trenchford, Tottiford and Kennick Reservoirs.

3. Explore Dunsford Wood Nature Reserve and Fingle Woods.

4. Head west through Fingle Woods and you come to the Dartmoor beauty spot Fingle Bridge and Fingle Bridge Inn. From there, wander the Teign Gorge to the National Trust's Castle Drogo.

5. Visit Moretonhampstead and The Miniature Pony Centre.

6. Spend a day in Lustleigh Cleave.

7. Take trips to the Dartmoor family attractions around Bovey Tracey. There are House of Marbles and Teign Valley Glass and The Devon Guild of Craftsmen in Bovey. Becky Falls and Canonteign Falls are a little further away. 

8. Try some of Dartmoor's many outdoor activities. Go horse riding, mountain biking, canoeing, climbing and bouldering.

9. Walk the National Park's high moors and summit some of its tors. On the high ground, you'll also see Dartmoor's internationally important prehistoric sites.

10. Drop down from the moors to Exeter and South Devon.
