Christow, Dartmoor National Park
1. Visit Canonteign Falls.
2. Walk around Trenchford, Tottiford and Kennick Reservoirs.
3. Hire mountain bikes at Haldon Forest. There's a Go Ape in the forest as well.
4. Explore Dunsford Nature Reserve and Fingle Woods. Push west to Fingle Bridge, Fingle Bridge Inn and then the National Trust's Castle Drogo.
5. Take in the massive views from Blackingstone Rock.
6. Spend an afternoon at the Mythic Garden Sculpture Exhibition in Stone Lane Gardens.
7. Experience the prehistoric burial chamber Spinster's Rock. Head up to the north plateau to see some of the National Park's finest stone circles and stone rows.
8. Visit Dartmoor's family attractions. Try House of Marbles and Teign Valley Glass and The Devon Guild of Craftsmen in Bovey. Becky Falls and Canonteign Falls are a little further away. The Miniature Pony Centre is a favourite with young kids.
9. Stand on top of Haytor Rocks. Learn about the area in the Haytor National Park Visitor Centre. Visit Widecombe-in-the-Moor.
10. Leave the National Park to discover South Devon, The English Riviera, Exeter and Plymouth.
