Cheriton Cross, Dartmoor National Park
1. Explore Fingle Woods and Dunsford Nature Reserve. The views from Wooston Castle Hillfort are wonderful. If you are visiting in early Spring, the wild daffodils in Dunsford Nature Reserve are a must.
2. Enjoy lunch at Fingle Bridge Inn at the Dartmoor beauty spot Fingle Bridge.
3. From Fingle Bridge, walk west into the glorious Teign Gorge. The National Trust's Castle Drogo is located high above the mouth of the gorge.
4. Visit the Mythic Garden Sculpture Exhibition in Stone Lane Gardens.
5. Discover Dartmoor's internationally important prehistory. Spinster's Rock is near Cheriton Cross.
6. Walk the National Park's moors and tors on its north plateau.
7. Take in the views from Heltor Rock and Blackingstone Rock.
8. Visit some of Dartmoor's family attractions. Try The Miniature Pony Centre, Canonteign Falls and Becky Falls.
9. Enjoy some of Dartmoor's outdoor activities. Go horse riding, mountain biking, canoeing, wild swimming, climbing and bouldering.
10. Spend a few days in Exeter and South Devon.
