3. In addition to Yes Tor and High Willhays, Camp is a gateway to many of the National Park's finest tors and moorland. Try Belstone Ridge to Oke Tor and Hangingstone Hill.

4. Mountain bike the network of army roads that rise from Camp to Dartmoor's north plateau.

5. Follow the Tarka Trail through West Cleave.

6. Go wild swimming in the East Okement River south of Cullever Steps.

7. Ride a horse out onto the moors.

9. Yomp to Cranmere Pool. It's also a great experience to wander the moors to the Ted Hughes Memorial Stone.

10. Drop down to Okehampton. Visit English Heritage's Okehampton Castle and the Museum of Dartmoor Life.
