1. Take in the massive views from Kestor Rock. On a clear day, in addition to Dartmoor National Park, you'll see across Mid Devon to Exmoor National Park.
2. Batworthy is a gateway to some of the finest prehistoric sites on Dartmoor. The Shovel Down Stone Rows and the Long Stone are impressive.
3. A little further on is the superb Scorhill Stone Circle.
4. Take time to find the Tolmen Stone on the North Teign River.
5. Most people head up to Batworthy to walk the National Park's high moors and tors. Hound Tor, Steeperton Tor, Watern Tor, Wild Tor, Hangingstone Hill, Cosdon Beacon and Sittaford Tor are all a yomp away.

7. Drop down to Chagford.
