Dewerstone Crags, Shaugh Prior, Dartmoor National Park

A local information board states that 'the popularity of climbing the Dewerstone Crags has resulted in considerable erosion of the fragile slopes from the crags to the main path ... The National Trust, Dartmoor National Park Authority and The British Mountaineering Council have worked together to repair damage and prevent future deterioration'. As such, when visiting, 'keep to waymarked paths to access the crags'.

We've added a photo of the local information board to the accompanying photo gallery. You'll see The Dewerstone, Devils Rock, Needle Buttress and Raven Buttress rising above the River Plym on Dewerstone Hill. The crags are within Dewerstone Wood.
