Rundlestone Tor, Princetown, Dartmoor National Park

Rundlestone Tor, Princetown, Dartmoor National Park

Rundlestone is a hamlet by the B3357 on the outskirts of Princetown. The rocky outcrop nearest the hamlet is called Rundlestone Tor. It's one of a cluster of granite outcrops on the dome of moorland west of Princetown that's topped by North Hessary Tor and Radio Mast.

We've positioned Rundlestone Tor on Google maps so zoom in on the 'Satellite' setting to see its location.

To visit, head for one of the car parking areas along the B3357 by Rundlestone. Wander up to the tor which is on open access moorland.

Alternatively, walk in from Princetown. There are several routes you can take but we'd recommend walking from Princetown National Park Visitor Centre in the direction of Dartmoor Prison. Turn left at Station Road and then follow the bend of the road right to the edge of the moor. A path rises alongside the farm fence and wall to North Hessary Tor and Radio Mast. Continue to Rundlestone Tor. Note that this route continues to Great Mis Tor. Refer to the Ordnance Survey Explorer OL28 'Dartmoor' map for detail.
