Hart Tor Stone Rows, Princetown, Dartmoor National Park
A double stone row and a single stone row run in different directions from two cairns situated side by side below Hart Tor. Stone rows and cairns occupy a strange location in a dip in the landscape by the River Meavy. The double stone row is impressive. The single stone row is less easy to see as it's been subject to a great deal of damage. The two cairns are surrounded by circles of stones.
We've positioned Hart Tor Stone Rows on Google maps so zoom in on the 'Satellite' setting to see their location. To visit, use the directions in our Hart Tor listing. The stone rows are just south west of this rocky outcrop. You can make out the double stone row and cairns with their circles of stones on Google's satellite imagery. The single row isn't really visible on that imagery. It runs south west of the lower cairn.
Note that in the local area are Black Tor Stone Row and Down Tor Stone Row (Hingston Hill Stone Row) . The famous Merrivale Complex is nearby as well.
