Combshead Tor, Princetown, Dartmoor National Park

Burrator Reservoir is an exceptionally popular visitor attraction in the south western section of Dartmoor National Park. It's beautiful and great for waterside walks. The reservoir is also fringed by many stunning tors. Leather Tor and the vast bulk of Sheeps Tor are the most dramatic. At the eastern end of the reservoir are Down Tor and Combshead Tor.

We've positioned Combshead Tor on Google maps. Zoom in on the 'Satellite' setting to see its location.

To visit, we'd recommend walking out from the car parking areas by Norsworthy Bridge at the eastern end of the Burrator Reservoir. It's marked on the Ordnance Survey Explorer OL28 'Dartmoor' map. Walk to Down Tor and then Down Tor Stone Row (Hingston Hill Stone Row). From there, wander across to Combshead Tor.

It's also fun to visit as part of a circular walk from the car parking areas on the Princetown to Whiteworks road. Walk to Nun's or Siward's Cross and then up to Eylesbarrow. Drop down to Combshead Tor. Head across to the western end of Down Tor Stone Row (Hingston Hill Stone Row) and then follow the row east to the Devonport Leat Tunnel and then Nun's or Siward's Cross. Wander back to where you started.
