Little Staple Tor, Merrivale, Dartmoor National Park

Little Staple Tor, Merrivale, Dartmoor National Park

This is one of three tors forming The Staple Tors near the B3357 on the western side of Dartmoor National Park. Little Staple Tor is closest to the road. The moor climbs to Middle Staple Tor and then the impressive Great Staple Tor. We'd recommend visiting Little Staple Tor on your way to the famous granite stacks of Great Staple Tor.

We've positioned Little Staple Tor on Google maps so zoom in on the 'Satellite' setting to see its location.

To visit, head for the car parking area below Little Staple Tor as marked on the Ordnance Survey Explorer OL28 'Dartmoor' map. It's a short, sharp climb to the outcrop. From there, continue to Middle Staple Tor and then Great Staple Tor.
