Horse riding
This is one of the most popular outdoor activities in Dartmoor National Park. Whilst there are branches of The Pony Club, rallies and camps for those who are based in the area, the National Park has a high number of stables aimed at those who are on holiday in Dartmoor. This listing provides information about these stables. Where applicable, we provide more detail in a separate listing and locate the stables on Google maps to help you plan your trip.
Over the years, we've ridden regularly at Babeny Farm Riding Stables located in the Poundsgate area near Dartmeet and at Shilstone Rocks near Widecombe in the Moor. On the other side of Dartmoor National Park, to the west, we'd recommend Cholwell Farm Riding Stables. To the north, we've used Eastlake Riding Stables and Skaigh Stables Farm.
