Chagford, Ashburton, Tavistock and Okehampton are packed with superb shops as you move clockwise around the moor.

These are great for local shopping. Visit Okehampton Show, Chagford Show, Lustleigh Show and Widecombe-in-the-Moor Fair. Try also Ashburton Food and Drink Festival, Nourish Festival at Bovey Tracey and Moretonhampstead Festival of Food, Drink and the Arts.
National Trust and English Heritage
Shop at the National Trust's Castle Drogo, Lydford Gorge and Buckland Abbey.
Specialist shops
House of Marbles and Teign Valley Glass by Bovey Tracey. Try The Devon Guild of Craftsmen in Bovey Tracey as well. The shops at Buckfast Abbey are popular.
Outdoor/country kit
Mole Valley Farmers by Bovey Tracey and Mole Avon up at Okehampton are superb for country kit.
