Fernworthy Reservoir Potter's Walk, Chagford, Dartmoor National Park

There's a large public car park by Fernworthy Reservoir at the entrance to Fernworthy Forest. Fernworthy Reservoir Potter's Walk starts, and ends, at the car park.

A local information board we photographed back in January 2010 reads:

'Potter's Walk. Footpath suitable for disabled/wheelchair use, circular route 3/4 mile long with resting places every 200 yards approximately.

Assistance many be required according to your ability.

The path surface varies from a rolled sand base to tarmac and grass. The maximum gradient is 11 degrees.

This walk is named after Sydney Potter who lived and worked at Fernworthy for over 50 years.

For details about horseriding/cycling on bridlepaths and suitable forest routes please see our main information board.'
