Western White Barrow, South Brent, Dartmoor National Park

There are two White Barrows above the Avon Dam Reservoir on Dartmoor's south moor. Eastern White Barrow is an extraordinary shape. Western White Barrow is less remarkable. Zeal Tor Tramway (Dismantled) and the Red Lake Railway (Dismatled)/Puffing Billy Track run nearby. The latter is the route of the Two Moors Way. The Abbot's Way passes north of the barrow. It's also topped by Petre's Cross.

We've positioned Western White Barrow on Google maps so zoom in on the 'Satellite' setting to see its location. To visit, we'd recommend following the Zeal Tor Tramway (Dismantled) from the car parking area at Shipley Bridge.
