The Plume of Feathers Inn is a great walking pub. If you are a customer, leave your car and enjoy direct access to the moors. Take in the massive views from some of the local tors.

North Hessary Tor and Radio Mast is nearby.

Great Mis Tor is a little further away.

We'd also recommend the views from Great Staple Tor.

 

Cycling

Hire bikes and ride the Granite and Gears Princetown routes. A trip to Burrator Reservoir is a superb family experience on the Granite and Gears Princetown Railway Cycling Routes. Note the ride is difficult on a windy day.

Visitor attractions

Visit the Princetown National Park Visitor Centre and Dartmoor Prison Museum. Learn about Princetown's history. The Plume of Feathers is the oldest building in Princetown dating from 1785.

Discover Dartmoor's prehistory. Merrivale (English Heritage) is one of the finest prehistoric sites on Dartmoor and is just down the road from The Plume of Feathers Inn.
