Cramber Tor, Princetown, Dartmoor National Park

Cramber Tor, Princetown, Dartmoor National Park

Cramber Tor is an isolated rocky outcrop in the popular Princetown area. Situated away from the many popular walking and cycling routes that run between Princetown and Burrator Reservoir, we've always had the tor to ourselves when visiting even in peak holiday season. The views are wonderful.

We've positioned Cramber Tor on Google maps so zoom in on the 'Satellite' setting to see its location.

To visit, we'd recommend walking to it as part of the Princetown, Nun's Cross and Hart Tor Circular Walk.

Alternatively, wander across from one of the car parking areas along the Princetown to Whiteworks road or up from the car parking areas at the north eastern end of Burrator Reservoir. If you chose the latter, walk the track to Crazy Well Pool and Crazy Well Cross. Grass paths or strands lead up to Cramber Tor. Granite slabs provide safe crossing over the Devonport Leat.
