Feather Tor, Merrivale, Dartmoor National Park
Feather Tor is a small rocky outcrop on Whitchurch Common on the western side of Dartmoor National Park. It rises above Windypost Cross and Grimstone and Sortridge Leat. The tor provides top views and is part of some great circular walks in the area.

To visit, start from the large car parking area at the Tavistock View Point. This is on the B3357 between Merrivale and Tavistock. Follow the very wide grass track south east across Barn Hill/Whitchurch Common to Grimstone and Sortridge Leat. You'll see Windypost Cross by the leat. Cross the waterway and wander up to the rocky outcrop in front of you. You are standing on top of Feather Tor.
