Manaton Old Road, Manaton, Dartmoor National Park
A road climbs from Bovey Tracey and the National Trust's Parke Estate to Trendlebere Down. From there, it continues to Becky Falls Woodland Park, Water/Freeland and Manaton. At the bottom of Trendlebere Down there's a byway open to all traffic that runs through Houndtor Wood to Water/Freeland. This is Manaton Old Road.
Walkers, mountain bikers, horse riders and 4x4s (eg Landrover clubs) frequent the byway.
In Houndtor Wood, you cross Becka Brook on Houndtor Wood Bridge.

To explore Manaton Old Road, try the Lustleigh Cleave River Bovey Circular Walk. You can also walk down from the Kestor Inn area which, roughly speaking, is the above walk in the opposite direction. Refer to the Ordnance Survey Explorer OL28 'Dartmoor' map for detail.
