Leigh Bridge Stepping Stones/Milfordleigh Wood Stepping Stones, Chagford, Dartmoor National Park

There are various clapper bridges and sets of stepping stones you can use to cross the North Teign River, South Teign River and the upper section of the River Teign after its two tributaries converge.

At Leigh, on the North Teign River just before it meets the South Teign River, is a set of stones you can use to cross the water when levels are low. They are in pretty good shape.

The National Trust's Milfordleigh Wood is east of the stones. An old path connects the Two Moors Way and Taw-Teign Link via the stones. Rushford Stepping Stones are downstream. Upstream is the well known Teign-e-ver Clapper Bridge. Following the North Teign River towards its source is the Teignhead Farm Clapper Bridge.
